Part 3 Merciful Killing

One thing that stood out to me was when Carleson told Candy what he should do about his dog. I was surprised that Carleson had such a large impact on Candy's decision about what to do. I think that this is foreshadowing something that will happen later on in the book. Carleson might have an influence on something with Lennie or George. He may convince on them to do something bad. What are your thoughts?
